We went to Saint Thomas and Saint John in the US Virgin Islands with family for the Christmas and New Year’s holiday season at the end of 2021. It was a beautiful place to visit with steep hills providing incredible views. And it was such a quick flight coming from Florida, which is always a plus :).

St. Thomas is a beautiful island in the U.S. Virgin Islands, with stunning beaches, historical attractions, and exciting activities. Here are some travel recommendations for your trip to St. Thomas:

– If you have one week, you can also visit St. John, a nearby island that is mostly a national park. You can take a ferry from Red Hook or Charlotte Amalie to Cruz Bay, and explore the hiking trails, snorkeling spots, and scenic views of St. John.

– Some of the best things to do in St. Thomas are:

– Visit Magens Bay, one of the most popular and picturesque beaches on the island. You can swim, kayak, paddleboard, or relax on the white sand. There is also a nature trail and a snack bar on site.

– Take a skyride to Paradise Point, a 700-foot-high observation deck that offers panoramic views of Charlotte Amalie and the harbor. You can also enjoy a drink, a meal, or some shopping at the top.

– Explore the historic downtown of Charlotte Amalie, where you can see the 17th-century Fort Christian, the 99 Steps, the Emancipation Garden, and the Government House. You can also shop for duty-free goods, souvenirs, and local crafts at the many stores and vendors.

– Go snorkeling or scuba diving at Coki Point, Coral World, or Buck Island. You can see colorful coral reefs, tropical fish, sea turtles, and even shipwrecks. You can also visit the Coral World Ocean Park, where you can interact with marine life, watch animal shows, and learn about conservation efforts.

– Take a day cruise or a sunset sail to enjoy the beauty of the Caribbean Sea. You can choose from different options, such as a catamaran, a sailboat, a powerboat, or a yacht. You can also visit other islands, such as St. John, Water Island, or the British Virgin Islands.
