In June 2018, we had the pleasure of visiting Nassau in the Bahamas where we stayed in Atlantis before flying over to Kamalame Cay, a private-island near Andros; it was certainly one of our favorite trips so far, and it was even more fun to celebrate two of our friends getting married while we were there.
Atlantis Bahamas is a fantastic destination, offering a blend of adventure, relaxation, and luxury. Here are some quick takeaways and top things to do at Atlantis Bahamas:
–Aquaventure Water Park: This family-friendly park covers 141 acres and features 18 high-speed water slides, 11 pools, and over 20 swimming areas. Don’t miss the Rapids River, the longest river ride in the Bahamas! The park is free for overnight Atlantis guests.
–Beaches: Atlantis boasts 5 miles of white sandy beaches. Cove Beach is peaceful, Paradise Lagoon Beach is great for watersports, and Atlantis Beach offers a lively atmosphere. Guests at The Cove and The Reef can enjoy Paradise Beach.
–Marine Exhibits: Explore the world’s largest open-air marine habitat with over 50,000 aquatic creatures. From piranhas to sharks, rays, and eels, there’s plenty to see. Participate in fish feedings and check out touch tanks and specific exhibits.
–Dolphin Cay: Swim with dolphins in this incredible habitat. It’s an unforgettable experience!
–Atlantis Casino: Try your luck at the casino, where you’ll find slot machines, table games, and more.
–Ocean Club Golf Course: Golf enthusiasts can tee off at this stunning course.
–Stingray Experience: Interact with friendly stingrays in a controlled environment.
Remember to pack water shoes, a waterproof case for your phone, and consider staying at The Cove or The Royal for a memorable trip!
